LOCATION: Regional VIC, 2 hours from Melbourne
LEVEL:
Grade 3, will consider Grade 2
CONTRACT:
This is a fixed term contract, minimum 4 months, can go to 12 months or permanent for the right candidate

We are seeking an experienced a Speech Pathologist to join a boutiqe, skilled and highly supportive multidisciplinary team for a fixed-term, with an immediate start available.

This role gives you ownership of the Speech Pathology service, you lead, make decisions with other Practitioners and get full autonomy. We don't tell you how to do your job, we trust you will do it to the highest level.

About the role:

As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based services to adult inpatients across acute and sub-acute settings. The caseload is diverse and dynamic, including patients recovering from trauma, surgery, acute illness, neurological conditions and complex medical presentations.

You will play a key leadership role within the team, supporting service delivery, clinical decision-making and workforce development.
Key responsibilities
  • Independently assess, plan, recommend and implement speech pathology interventions for adult inpatients
  • Provide senior clinical expertise in adult acute and sub-acute care
  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to junior staff
  • Support service prioritisation, workload management and team-based decision making
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative and learning-focused team culture
About you:

You will be a confident and experienced Speech Pathologist who brings:
  • Strong adult acute and sub-acute clinical skills
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Experience in quality improvement activities
  • Proven capability in providing clinical supervision and professional support
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
