Site Supervisor
Site Supervisor / Leading Hand Carpenter - Architectural Tiny Homes
- Huge Company Growth
- Clear Growth Pathways
- No Weekend work
The Client Our client is a premier designer and manufacturer of high-end, architectural tiny homes. Known for their precision engineering and luxury finishes, they are at the forefront of the alternative housing movement. Due to a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to take a key role in their production facility.
The Role This is a pivotal position that balances high-level carpentry with site leadership. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction of multiple boutique builds, ensuring that the craftsmanship meets the exacting standards our client is known for.
This role is ideal for a "hands-on" supervisor who enjoys the technical challenges of small-scale, high-detail construction and wants to move away from the repetitive nature of volume residential building.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Leading a small crew of qualified carpenters and apprentices, ensuring workflow is efficient and safety standards are met.
- Architectural Carpentry: Executing high-end timber work, framing, and detailed fit-outs where precision is paramount.
- Project Oversight: Managing build schedules, coordinating with specialized subcontractors, and ensuring materials are on-site when needed.
- Quality Assurance: Maintaining a "zero-defect" culture, performing final inspections before homes are delivered to clients.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the design and management teams to streamline production and solve technical build challenges.
- Qualified Tradesperson: You hold a Cert III in Carpentry with a proven track record in high-end residential or detailed joinery/fit-out environments.
- Leadership Experience: You have experience as a Leading Hand or Sub-foreman, with the ability to motivate a team and hit production milestones.
- Eye for Detail: You understand that in a tiny home, every millimeter counts. You take immense pride in the "finishing" stages of a build.
- Communication Skills: You can interpret complex architectural plans and relay technical information clearly to the team and the client's design office.
- Innovative Work: The chance to work on unique, award-winning architectural projects that challenge traditional building methods.
- Stable Environment: Work primarily within a controlled, modern workshop facility—no more "rain days" or unpredictable site conditions.
- Leadership Opportunity: A clear path for career progression as the company continues to scale its operations.
- Competitive Remuneration: A package tailored to your experience level, reflecting the premium nature of the product.
